Worker Terms
Last updated 10 July 2026. Draft for product use — not legal advice. England & Wales.
Marketplace role and status
You use Crueue as a solo trader (self-employed) providing hospitality services to venues. Crueue is a marketplace that introduces you to venues and facilitates booking and payment. You are not an employee, worker, or agent of Crueue, and Crueue is not your employer or hirer.
When you accept a shift through the platform, you contract with the venue for those services. In substance, you invoice the venue for your services; Crueue facilitates that charge and payout through the platform. Crueue’s commercial relationship with the venue is a separate platform fee for fulfilment facilitation — not wages paid by Crueue to you as staff.
IMPORTANT DRAFT NOTICE: These terms are a product draft describing the intended commercial model. They are not legal advice and must be reviewed by a solicitor before commercial reliance. Classification and tax treatment can depend on facts; you should take your own advice on self-employment, tax, and National Insurance.
There is no exclusivity. You may work for other platforms and venues, decline shift invites, and (where operationally possible) propose a suitably qualified substitute with reasonable advance notice; Crueue and the venue may accept or reject a substitute.
Right to work
You confirm you have the right to work in the UK. You must provide accurate RTW information and documents when asked. RTW checks are a platform eligibility requirement for listing and taking hospitality shifts through Crueue — not because Crueue employs you. You may not take shifts until checks are completed to Crueue’s satisfaction. If documents expire or checks fail, your account may be suspended.
Your charges, tax, and payouts
Shift rates shown on the platform are your charges for services to the venue (subject to any platform minimums). You receive 100% of the agreed rate for completed eligible hours. Crueue’s platform fee (typically 20%) is charged to the venue for marketplace fulfilment, not deducted from your rate as an employer deduction.
You are responsible for your own tax, National Insurance, VAT (if registered), and self-assessment. Crueue does not operate PAYE for you and does not pay holiday pay, sick pay, or pension contributions as an employer. Any holiday or other statutory entitlements that may apply to you as a self-employed person are your own responsibility; do not treat platform rates as Crueue “rolled-up holiday pay” or as evidence that Crueue is engaging you as a worker.
Payouts are made via Stripe Connect Express to your UK bank account on the platform’s payout schedule (typically weekly for completed shifts). You must complete Stripe onboarding. Stripe facilitates transfer of amounts corresponding to your invoice/charge for services to the venue; Crueue does not hold your remuneration as employer payroll.
Reliability, cancellations, and conduct
You agree to the Cancellation & No-Show Policy. Late cancellations and no-shows affect marketplace reliability scoring and may lead to tier changes or removal from the platform. These are marketplace participation rules, not employment discipline.
On shift, follow lawful venue instructions, health and safety rules, and professional standards appropriate to providing services on the venue’s premises. Do not misuse the marketplace or bring it into disrepute.
Insurance and equipment
As a solo trader you are responsible for maintaining any insurance appropriate to your self-employed status (for example public liability if relevant to how you work). Venues remain responsible for their premises and equipment. Bring yourself ready to work; specialised tools are usually venue-provided unless agreed otherwise.
Data and communications
Your use of personal data is governed by the Privacy Policy. Operational emails/SMS about bookings are part of the marketplace service. Contact: [email protected].
